Hujan ikan di daerah Lajamanu, Australia utara



Lajamanu di Wilayah Utara, populasi penduduk seramai 669 , telah menyaksikan beratus-ratus ikan putih kecil jatuh dari langit semasa hujan yang kebanyakannya masih hidup.


Pakar cuaca di Australia percaya ikan, spangled perch, disedut dalam ribut petir sebelum jatuh ke atas bandar kecil itu. Mark Kersemakers, peramal cuaca di Biro Meteorologi Australia, berkata: "Ia boleh melayangkan ikan sehingga 40,000 hingga 50,000 kaki di udara.

Ia adalah kali ketiga dalam tempoh kurang daripada 30 tahun Lajamanu dihujani oleh ikan yang jatuh dari langit, menurut News Northern Territory, selepas laporan fenomena pada tahun 1974 dan 2004.




FISH have fallen from the sky onto a Top End town - not once but twice. The Northern Territory News reports the freak phenomena happened on Thursday and Friday afternoon at Lajamanu, about 550km southwest of Katherine.
Local Christine Balmer said "hundreds and hundreds" of small white fish had fallen from the sky.
